Wind speed
One of the most important factors for kiting. The ideal wind speed can vary a lot depending on your kite size, board size, physical build and more.
You can specify what speeds are good for you personally, and put a cap on how strong gusts you find acceptable for your riding level.
Wind directions
Each spot has its own set of ideal wind directions, typically cross-onshore and onshore, and the kiting forecast takes this into account.
You can change the directions at any spot if you have your own style or preferences.
Tide Planned
Some spots may be sensitive to the tide. You can specify what tide works best at each spot, so that the forecast only suggests surfing when the tide is right.
This feature is currently not available, but we hope to make it available in the future.
Air temperature
Flip-flop surfer? Set your preferred air temperature to only get alerted on those warm, cozy days.

Weekday and time schedule
Lifestyles vary. Specify which weekdays and what hours suit you best, so you don't get that pesky good wind alert when you're stuck at the office.
Accurate weather forecast
We rely on models from MET Norway for a long-term wind and weather forecast.
This data is used to give you a kitesurfing forecast for the upcoming 10 days.
The wind forecast is fairly reliable for the first 60 hours. After that, the reliability drops due to inherent uncertainty in the models, but can still give a good indication of whether wind is generally expected over the next 10 days.
Made for the everyday kitesurfer

With this app, you'll know whenever good conditions are coming as early as possible, to hopefully make it easier to fit some surf into a busy schedule.
It works best when you follow only a handful of your favorite spots that are easily reachable from home.

No two kiting forecasts are the same. Hand-pick the exact conditions that work for you, so that when the app suggests good kiting conditions, you know that it's going to be good.
Optional notifications
Get alerted when good wind is coming on specific days or specific spots, or for example on the coming weekend.
Feeling overnotified? We get it. The app works just as well if you only check it when you feel like it.
We do one thing and we do it well
Vindkast focuses simply on telling you when and where kitesurfing conditions are expected to be good.
There are no social features. To see who's riding where, we recommend the facebook group Hvor (kite)surfes der i DK or the Bipper app .
